Health Literacy Training
Welcome to the Health Literacy Foundational Training module!
Every time we communicate in healthcare, we have an opportunity to make a difference for patients, consumers, and the community.
Health literacy is more than just understanding health information. It’s about making sure everyone can find, understand, and use health information to make the best decisions for their care. When we focus on health literacy in our daily work, we build trust, improve health outcomes, and create a more inclusive and fair healthcare system.
Who is this training for?
This module is for all NSW Health staff, no matter their role. It will help you learn simple, practical ways to support health literacy. By making health information clear and easy to access, we can remove barriers, improve patient experiences, and make healthcare safer and higher quality.
